KBR to expand DuPont offices at Delaware campus
KBR announced that its Building Group subsidiary has been awarded the second phase of a multi-phase expansion at DuPont’s Chestnut Run Plaza, the chemical major’s suburban campus in Wilmington, Del.
Designed to support up to 800 employees, Building 735 will consist of four levels of office space, breakout and conference rooms with a customer care center on the second floor.
Building 735 is sited adjacent to Building 730, currently under construction by the Building Group.
Similar in design, both buildings are expected to achieve US Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification.
Building 735 is slated to open in 2013.
The Building Group’s Washington, DC, office based in Vienna, Va., is responsible for both projects.
“The Building Group is proud to further KBR’s work with DuPont on its Chestnut Run Plaza facility,” said Mike Sloan, executive vice president for KBR’s Building Group.
“The award of phase two underscores KBR's reputation for delivering consistent, reliable services across multiple lines of business and will enable the Building Group to continue to showcase its extensive experience managing large-scale and LEED construction,” he added.
