Delek refinery in Arkansas returns to normal rates as pipeline resumes crude shipments

Delek US Holdings, a diversified energy company with assets in the petroleum refining, marketing and retail industries, said production levels had returned to normal rates at its refinery in El Dorado, Arkansas.

As previously reported, a pipeline supplying significant quantities of crude oil to the El Dorado refinery temporarily suspended shipments due to flooding along the Mississippi River in early May.

Consequently, the refinery began operating at reduced rates beginning on May 8.

The pipeline recently returned to service, however, and has resumed shipments of crude oil to the El Dorado refinery.

As a result, the refinery returned to normal operating rates on June 15, the company said.

The El Dorado refinery, which normally produces at about 80,000 bpd, saw production cut to about 60,000 bpd amid the supply disruptions, Delek said.
