ARC's upcoming China Forum to focus on IT, automation solutions

ARC Advisory Group will hold its second China Forum on May 18 and 19 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing in conjunction with the FA/PA (Factory Automation/Process Automation) Show.

Working under the theme, “Achieving Business Excellence through IT and Automation Solutions,” the forum will include relevant sessions for both discrete and process manufacturers and other industry participants, the firm said.

“Over the past three decades, China has achieved unprecedented growth, especially in the manufacturing sector,” said Andy Chatha, president and CEO of ARC Advisory Group. “As a result, China has become the second largest industrial nation in the world, with its gross industrial output making up 50 percent of the country's gross national product.”

“China, however, still faces many challenges, such as high energy consumption, high emissions, poor asset management, and inefficiency,” he continued. “These challenges now create a bottleneck for industrial growth. It’s crucial for manufacturers in China to extend and improve their automation and IT solutions to meet these challenges.”

To that end, ARC's second China Forum will focus on topics like manufacturing IT, collaborative operations, energy management, advanced control, motion control, flexible manufacturing, and machine and process safety technologies. It will feature leading experts in those fields, ARC said.

Forum sponsors include companies such as ABB, HollySys, Honeywell, Siemens, B&R, Beckoff, Endress+Hauser, HIMA, Pilz, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, and Stäubli.

Co-located with the FA/PA Automation Show, the forum is organized by ARC and supported by Gkong.com and Hannover Milano Fair.
