Technip awarded a refining contract in Bulgaria

Technip was awarded by Burgasnefteproekt EOOD (a Lukoil engineering subsidiary) a lump sum services contract, worth approximately €70 million, for the phase 1 of a heavy residue hydrocracking complex to be built at their refinery located in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The contract covers the detailed engineering and procurement services for a 2.5 million tpy residue hydrocracker based on Axens H-Oil process, as well as amine, sour water stripper and hydrogen production units.

Technip's operating center in Rome, Italy will execute this contract, which is scheduled to be completed in May 2013. It follows the successful execution by the group of the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract.
