Petrobras inks ethanol supply contract
Petrobras Distribuidora (BR) and Petrobras Biocombustível (Biofuels) have executed with Açúcar Guarani S.A. (Guarani) a contract for the supply of up to 2.2 billion liters of ethanol during four years. The contract was executed under market conditions and has a total estimated value of R$ 2.1 billion. In the contract, Guarani will supply the product to BR to be marketed.
The contract is the result of a strategic partnership between Tereos Internacional and Petrobras Biocombustível, through Guarani, executed in April of this year. The contract ensures commitment in the supply to BR, access to Guarani to BR's distribution system for part of its hydrated and anhydrous ethanol production, besides greater synergy between production, marketability and logistics in the Petrobras system.
