Two fires shut down Neste Oil refinery in Finland

Reuters is reporting that two fires broke out Thursday evening at Neste Oil’s refinery in Naanatali, Finland.  Officials believe the fires were related to a glitch in the electricity grid.  Production has been halted until all damages can be evaluated.  A company spokesperson indicated that it could be up to a week before the refinery can resume normal production, which will cost Neste over $100,000 per day.  Refining capacity is 58,000 bpd for this plant.
