Symposium regarding use of environmentally acceptable lubricants

ASTM International is sponsoring a symposium on testing and use of environmentally acceptable lubricants. Sponsored by ASTM Committee D02 on Petroleum Products and Lubricants, the symposium will be held on December 6, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront in Jacksonville, Florida, in conjunction with the December 5-9 standards development meetings of the committee.

The general objective of the symposium is to hold a technical forum for discussions related to current trends for testing and use of environmentally acceptable lubricants. It also provides details on current research efforts to advance use of bio-based and other environmentally acceptable lubricants, and to develop new and improved environment test methods.

Anyone involved in bio-based lubricant testing and driven to use/produce renewable and environmentally responsible lubricants, OEM of equipment, university researchers, government agencies, lubricant formulators and bio-based lubricant users are invited to attend.
