The Laby-GI has a labyrinth sealing system on piston and piston rod gland that allows oil-free and contact-free compression for minimum wear and tear. On top, due to limited space, TS LNG BV preferred the compact vertical design of the compressor with its small footprint.
Delivery of the compressor is scheduled to be in the second quarter of 2011.
Gate terminal BV invested in an additional high-pressure compression facility to increase its flexibility and to serve customers requirements during minimum send out of natural gas. Gate terminal BV is scheduled to start operations in the second half of 2011. The current capacity is 12 billion m3 natural gas and permits have been granted for further expansion to 16 billion m3 throughput capacity.
