Four gas-fired generators brought online by CNOOC

Reuters is reporting that CNOOC Gas and Power Group  has brought online all four gas-fired generators at its plant in Putian, China.  The plant will burn nearly a third of its LNG imports from Indonesia.

The Reuters article states that:
“Each of the four M701F gas-steam combined cycle power generating units had capacity of 390 megawatts (MW) and the plant would burn about 800,000 tonnes of LNG per year, CNOOC Gas and Power Group said on Tuesday.  Under a long-term supply pact, CNOOC imports 2.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year from Indonesia to feed its LNG terminal near the power plant in southeastern Fujian province.”
