Mary Jane Felipe is a research scientist at Baker Hughes, where she helps develop new technologies for oil and gas industry applications. Dr. Felipe was previously a chemistry instructor and researcher at the University of the Philippines and part of a regional task force for the UN Development Program. She has experience in synthetic organic chemistry, materials chemistry and surface chemistry for oil and gas and homecare applications. Dr. Felipe holds six patent-pending applications and has authored or co-authored more than 50 papers. She received her PhD in chemistry from the University of Houston.
Nguyen, K. - Baker Hughes, Houston, Texas
Khac Nguyen is an industrial water treatment chemist at Baker Hughes. He develops cooling and boiler water testing procedures and collaborates with research and development (R&D) scientists on water treatment products and programs. Throughout his 32 years in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Nguyen has supervised and managed analytical laboratories, developed statistic studies, led aqueous testing and has provided technical guidance and leadership on special projects. He holds four patents. Mr. Nguyen received his BS degree in chemistry from the University of Houston.
Guo, B. B. - Baker Hughes, Houston, Texas
Bingbing Guo is a global technical product manager at Baker Hughes. She manages the water treatment, FLO and midstream product lines and is responsible for the introduction of new products, maximizing the product line’s profit margin, product lifecycles and liaising with other areas of the business. Throughout her 23-year career in the oil and gas industry, Ms. Guo has held roles as a research scientist and chemist and has experience in industrial water treatment, product formulation and testing, and analytical testing. She holds four patents and is a member of NACE and ACS. Ms. Guo earned a BS degree in chemistry from Lanzhou University in China and her MBA degree from The University of Houston at Clear Lake, Texas.
Sandu, C. - Baker Hughes, Sugar Land, Texas
Corina Sandu leads R&D projects at Baker Hughes. She is responsible for R&D for both upstream and downstream, working on chemical and instrumental platforms to mitigate corrosion, fouling and contaminants levels. Dr. Sandu has 13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and she has authored 24 technical publications and holds 12 patents. Dr. Sandu holds a PhD in materials chemistry from the University of Houston and a post-doctorate from Rice University.
Fulmer, D. - Baker Hughes, Missouri City, Texas
David Fulmer is a technical development manager at Baker Hughes. He has 30 years of experience in field service, technical service, product management and product development in industrial water treatment. Past positions include account representative, technical consultant and water treatment product manager. Mr. Fulmer is a member of AIChE, and he has two patents pending and has authored three technical papers. He holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
