He obtained his BS degree in chemical engineering at the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional (UTN) in 2003 and his PhD in chemical engineering (process optimization) at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in 2011. Dr. Ruiz has more than 10 years of experience developing and implementing computer-aided tools to improve the design and operation of industrial processes.
