Hep Ingham started his career at the National Bureau of Stadards (now NIST) working on thermophysical properties of light hydrocarbons and equation of state modeling. He moved into refining by joining UOP’s catalytic reforming tech-service group for 5 yr. From there, he joined KBC in their Process Improvement Program, implementing monitoring and optimization software for crude units and major conversion units. He joined the Crude Assay group at Chevron in 2005 as a specialist in fractional index modeling of crude distillation and converting laboratory data into assays used for operations and trading.
